"The
I Ching, or Book of Changes, is an Eastern Oracle as old as the Bible
itself containing the whole of human experience. Used for divination,
it is a method of exploring the unconscious; through the symbolism of
its hexagrams we are guided towards the solution of difficult problems
and life situations. It can also be read as a book of wisdom revealing
the laws of life to which we must all attune ourselves if we are to live
in peace and harmony. While meditating
on a question in your life and simultaneously throwing 3 coins 6 times,
the combination of coins refers you to one of 64 (26) hexagrams:

"In the appropriate hexagram of the I Ching you will
find the answer to your question."8 Tarot cards and other methods
of divination are used in very much the same way. I twice asked the I
Ching whether I am the second Christ and it returned Hexagram number 11
titled "Peace".
Eastern mysticism is based on a Pantheistic view of life. The shortest
explanation of Pantheism is the following equation:
God = Creation
,meaning everything is God, You and I, your Cat and Dog, Hitler and Osama
bin Laden, the Earth and the Universe are all equal to God and hence equal
to each other. Discovering this truth is called Enlightenment. Jesus claimed
to be equal to God, Lucifer wanted to be more than God – that was
his mortal sin. Jesus said that in every person you meet, you will meet
Him. Adam and Eve were one with God before they ate from the Tree of Knowledge
of Good and Evil. How will you understand that God = Love if you did not
understand what Hate is, if He did not show you what hate is? How will
you know what Light is if you do not understand what Darkness looks like?
How would the Monotheistic religions (Judaism, Islam and Christianity)
understand God if they did not formulate the concept of Satan? If I chose
a black font, would you be able to read what I wrote?

Circle
Some say the walls between us stand so
tall
They don't see there's just one sun shining on us all
I say we each choose roads to call our own
But none of us is travelling through this universe alone
And this circle just goes on and on
It began before us, it will be here when we're gone
And this circle just goes on and on and on
Connecting our humanity
Joining me to you and you to me
Seasons keep spinning on the wheels of
time
We stand, we fall, we struggle up the mountains we must climb
Different dreams may colour what we see ahead
But our lives are strung together on a common thread
And this circle just goes on and on
It began before us, it will be here when we're gone
And this circle just goes on and on and on
Connecting our humanity
Joining me to you and you to me
Round and round and round and round we
go
Around and round and round we go
Love and learn and change and grow
Round and round and round we go
And this circle touches everyone
As it crosses every boundary underneath the sun
And this circle just goes on and on
It began before us, it will be here when we're gone
Yes this circle just goes on and on and on
And someday we will come to see
I'm joined to you and you to me

It is this, not so mystical duality, the Yin and the Yang of the Universe,
which enabled the animal in us to progress to become a human being by
creating an evolution of thought. “I think therefore I AM that I
AM” is what God would say. It is something you and I may say as
well in all humility and reverence to the GREAT I AM. If Jesus is equal
to God and Jesus is our spiritual twin Brother (see the Gospel
of Thomas) and if God is our spiritual Father, does that not make
us the rightful heirs to the same title we grant His Son Jesus? Are we
not all equal Children of God, part of the Holy Family? This to me is
the most inclusive definition of the Body of Christ: the sum total of
the Universe. The only hands and feet that God has in this world to complete
His work with Us are your and my hands. The only brain and heart that
God has in this world to inspire His hands and feet and tongues are your
and my brain and heart and tongue. The only eyes through which God can
see the suffering in the world are your and my eyes.
The German poet and philosopher, Friedrich Nietzsche, wrote in 1881 the
following in his poem Also
sprach Zarathustra: Man is a rope between
the animal and the Superman, a rope over an abyss. My
definition of the Superman I found in 1 Corinthians 13 and in the I Ching,
which speaks time and again of the characteristics and qualities of the
Superior Man. Here are some equivalent passages from both these books:

I Ching |
Isaiah 40:4-5
(NIV)
Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And
the glory of the LORD will be revealed. And all mankind together will
see it. |
Modesty
Thus the Superior Man reduces that which is too much, and augments
that which is too little. He weighs things and makes them equal. |
|
John 3:17
(NIV)
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
John 12:47 (NIV)
As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do
not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save
it. |
Inner Truth
Thus the Superior Man discusses criminal cases in order to
delay executions. When obliged to judge the mistakes of men, He tries
to penetrate their minds with understanding, in order to gain a sympathetic
appreciation of the circumstances. |
